Position Summary:

Under general supervision, the Documentation Control Administrator is responsible for the coordinating, creation, release, and revision of all controlled documentation for company product and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Principal duties and responsibilities: 

  1. Assigns documentation/drawing numbers as per the documentation/drawing numbering system using DBA
  2. Aids in the creation of new and revision of existing documentation/drawings
  3. Verifies proper formatting of documentation/drawings per procedures
  4. Releases documentation/drawings by filing them electronically, completing DBA information and filing original
  5. Coordinates ECN process by assigning ECNs (including numbers and required sign offs) in Access database as required by Engineering
  6. Control final release of ECN by completing Access database, filing revised documents
  7. Assigns numbers and coordinates the ECN process up to completion using DBA
  8. Verifies completed NCRs and files NCR paperwork
  9. Enters new part numbers in DBA
  10. Creates BOM for part numbers in DBA based on engineering documentation
  11. Tracks open ECNs and NCRs 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or equivalent with experience in technical documentation including mechanical and electrical drawings; familiarity with ISO processes

 

 

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: 

  1. Basic computer skills including email, Word, and Excel
  2. Experience with DBA, AutoCAD, Adobe software
  3. Strong interpersonal skills
  4. Highly organized
  5. Good attention to detail
